ABOUT SUE YOUNG
Sue is a Registered Dietitian with a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and an MSc in Clinical Research. Since qualifying in 2008 she built a solid foundation in a range of dietetic areas and more recently 9 years for the NHS in disordered eating and eating disorders.
Sue works by engaging you to feel empowered to manage your struggles and find a better relationship with your health. She encourages and supports you to work holistically and dynamically to reach your goals. She likes to use real world examples to illustrate how success can be achieved. She truly believes recovery from your eating disorder is possible.
Sue is also experienced in others areas of dietetics and can work with you on weight management, intuitive eating, disordered eating, womans’ health, high cholesterol levels and other general areas of dietetic intervention.
She is currently the head dietitian for an NHS Specialist Eating Disorder Inpatient Unit working with both adolescents and adults in her role. For six years she was also the Community Adult Eating Disorder Dietitian for the county.
She has a previous 20-year media career and made the decision to retrain in dietetics in 2006. She feels that dietetics has given her the most rewards of her working life and she now has the perfect balance of her virtual private work at JL Nutrition Clinic with her face to face inpatient NHS work.
