We know that successful treatment of eating disorders, weight management and gastro issues often include a wider team approach.  Depending on the needs of our clients we collaborate with other healthcare professionals, all of whom are very experienced.

These are a few of the people we have a close working relationship with.

Ruth Jacobs - is an associate of JL Nutrition Clinic

Ruth Jacobs provides online and face-to-face meal support for people with eating disorders of all types.  She also provides education sessions for parents or carers in how to effectively carry out meal support at home.

Ruth has worked in eating disorder services, in a variety of roles, since 2015. She is a qualified Mental Health Nurse, registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, and has further training in eating disorders, attachment disorders, positive behavioural support, Autism, ARFID and safeguarding. She is also fully trained in NG feeding.

Meal support can help to support the person with their difficult thoughts and feelings during or after meals.  It is an invaluable service that can help people adhere to their meal plans, which are often difficult to manage alone.  Ruth can also assist and provide support with challenging fear foods and eating in public, or give guidance and support during the often highly anxiety provoking times of meal preparation and food shopping.
