Words from our owner, Jennifer Low

As a busy working mum, I can easily empathise with anyone confronting the minefield of nutrition information and the lack of time most of us have to focus on our nutritional intake.

Through my work and background degree in psychology, I understand that emotional and psychological issues, as well as medications, can have a substantial influence on someone’s ability to follow a healthy lifestyle and recover from an eating disorder.

I work effectively and gently with you to overcome these barriers and to learn to trust your body again.

It has been a privilege to work with my clients through to full or partial recovery, journeying with them towards the freedom that living without disordered eating gives.

Initial Consultation

This session gives you the space and time to tell us more about you, your story, and your specific requirements and goals.  It is a time for us to get to know each other.

A full and detailed history will be taken, including current health and past medical history, past and present dietary habits, stress and energy levels, sleep patterns, weight history and family medical history.

All these areas are important to build up a picture of you and how you arrived at your present level of health.

Follow-up Consultations

The in depth assessment of your circumstances, preferences, needs and goals allows us to create a fully personalised care plan.

We provide holistic nutrition counselling for all of our clients. We do not tend to prescribe diet plans or food plans*.

We work with you to understand your body and through discussion we can heighten your awareness of how you have got to where you are.  We provide evidence-based treatment and resources, often alongside “homework” to be completed between sessions.*except in the cases of people with eating disorders, where food plans are often a necessary part of treatment.
